This is a third party controller, not made by Nintendo. It works and feels like an original Nintendo controller.

*Controllers can be used on a gamecube compatible wii console when playing gamecube games. Some Virtual Console and WiiWare games downloaded through Wii Shop are also able to use a Gamecube controller. A Limited number of Wii games are compatible for use with Gamecube Controllers.
