- Replacement CMOS clock battery for Sony PS3 & early PS2 Slim consoles
- Compatible with all PS3 models and most SCPH-7xxxx PS2 Slim units
- Direct-fit replacement with pre-applied adhesive backing
- No modification required – simple plug-and-play connector
This replacement CMOS battery is designed for all Sony PlayStation 3 consoles and for many early PS2 Slim units in the SCPH-7xxxx series. It replaces the original CR2032-LC1 battery pack responsible for maintaining the console’s internal clock settings, including the date, time and low-power system data.
If your console is losing its time and date or repeatedly requesting setup on startup, the internal CMOS battery may no longer be holding a charge. This replacement uses the same connector type and physical format as the original, ensuring a correct fit with no soldering or modification required.
Because Sony used different battery types across PS2 Slim revisions, we strongly recommend opening your PS2 Slim to confirm the battery type before purchase. This battery is suitable for many early SCPH-7xxxx units but is not compatible with PS2 Fat models or later PS2 Slim revisions that use a loose CR2032 without wires.
The pack includes pre-applied adhesive for securing the battery in position, along with a small tool to assist with removing the old battery and installing the new one.
